Whats your living situation like in Italy?
My living situation is good. I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. I have most of the appliances that we have in the U.S. My only gripe is that I'm still waiting for my cable card that gives me access to American channels and I don't have a dryer so my poor husband, Fredrick who does the laundry, has a hard time washing practice clothes fast enough (since we practice twice daily most days).

Why did you decide to play overseas this offseason?
Basketball is no different from any other profession; the more you play, the more comfortable you become. I felt like playing overseas would give me the opportunity to work on the weaker areas of my game while continuing to build on my strengths.

How excited is your daughter about living Italy?
Initially Aishida was pretty excited, but when she realized that they didn't have any RANCH DRESSING she was ready to come back to SAC, to her "real home.

What are you looking forward to most about Italy?
The thing that I'm looking forward to the most about Italy is the opportunity to play a different role for my team. Here in Napoli, I'm the scorer, the re-bounder and, of course, the defensive stopper.

What do you know about Naples and the surrounding area?
My knowledge of Napoli is pretty limited. I know that pizza was invented here so it's a pretty big deal and there's a pizzeria on every corner. I also know the story about the city of Pompeii.

Besides playing basketball, what are you going to do this offseason?
My plans for this off-season are to stay healthy, improve my game and relax and enjoy Napoli.

What are you most proud of this past WNBA season?
From a team perspective, I'm most proud of the toughness that we played with all season. We faced a lot of adversity (injuries) and were still able to accomplish a lot of our goals. As an individual, I'm most proud of my growth and maturation. I feel like I started thinking the game as well as playing it. I started to see things happen on the floor as they unfolded. Improving on my mental game is only going to make me a more complete basketball player.

Why did you choose to play for Vomero Basket Napoli?
I chose Vomero for a couple of reasons. My role here on the team really gives me an opportunity to grow as a player. The weather, the culture and the people here in Napoli really make this a great place to experience with my family for our first go at life overseas.

What would you like to say to Monarchs fans?
I'm really excited about this upcoming season. With some of us playing abroad and others taking this off-season to get healthy, I'm really pumped about the possibilities for next year. And now that I've gone overseas it's official, the Monarchs fans are the best fans in the WORLD!
