Wow, talk about passion for the Monarchs!

Congratulations to Rebecca Allen who won the Monarchs 2007 All-Star balloting contest by single handedly filling out more than 5,000 WNBA All-Star Ballots.

In showing thanks for her hard work, the Monarchs celebrated by taking Rebecca and two of her friends to dinner at 55 Degrees in downtown Sacramento.

The dinner was hosted by Monarchs players, Yolanda Griffith, Kara Lawson, Ticha Penicheiro, Nicole Powell and DeMya Walker.

According to Rebecca, filing out the ballots took a few sleepless nights and most of her free time. She even punched-out ballots while at Monarchs games at ARCO Arena.

Thanks to Rebecca, and thousands of fans like her, the Monarchs sent three players to the WNBA All-Star game last week in Washington D.C. In addition to Yolanda Griffith, Rebekkah Brunson and Kara Lawson, the entire Monarchs coaching staff led the Western Conference All-Stars.
