
The Lynx kick off their fifth season in the Twin Cities with its Home Opener at Target Center on Saturday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. against the Sacramento Monarchs.
The first 2,500 fans 18 years old or younger at the game will receive a replica Spalding WNBA basketball. Spalding's orange-and-oatmeal colored WNBA basketball is recognized throughout the world.
During halftime of the game, Dr. Mary Jo Kane from the University of Minnesota's Tucker Center will host the fifth annual Honoring Our Legacy celebration, a tradition of honoring individuals and groups who have made important contributions to women's sports throughout the state. This year's on-court ceremony will recognize the achievements and success of women's basketball during the past year in the state of Minnesota. The Lynx will recognize the four girls state high school basketball champions and the University of Minnesota women's basketball team.
Following the game between the Lynx and Monarchs, fans are invited to stay for a
free concert featuring pop and Christian rock stars Superchic[k].
Ticket prices range from $8 - $54, and all tickets include admission to the Lynx game and the Superchic[k] post-game concert.
