Smith scored 21 points and hit four free throws in the final 15 seconds to lift the Detroit Shock over the Connecticut Sun, 70-64, for the second time this season at Mohegan Sun Arena.
With the Shock trailing, 60-58, former Connecticut Huskie Swin Cash connected on two back-to-back three-point plays to give the Shock a 64-62 lead with 1:34 left.

Cash scored 15 points and grabbed six boards and Nolan added 11 and four assists for Detroit, which shot 80 percent (16-20) from the free-throw line. The Shock held the Sun to a season-low 33 percent shooting (22-for-66) and won their third straight road game.
Asjha Jones connected for 16 points and Katie Douglas added 15 for Connecticut, which lost for only the second time at home this season. Nykesha Sales went 1-for-9 from the floor, scoring a season-low three points for the Sun, who lost for only the second time in their last six.
