CHRIS DENARI | Fever Play-by-Play
Chris Denari begins his seventh season as the Fever's play-by-play announcer after being named the voice of the Fever on April 28, 2000. He has called the action in virtually every game in Fever history.
Certainly one of the busiest sports broadcasters in Indianapolis, Denari has been involved in broadcasting sports for 23 years. In 2004, he was named the Sports Director at FOX-59 in Indianapolis and added pre- and postgame coverage on the Indiana Pacers’ television network to his challenging schedule. He currently holds broadcast affiliation with the Fever and Pacers, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indiana High School Athletic Association and Butler University.
In April 2004, the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association named him as Indiana’s 2003 Sports Broadcaster of the Year.
It is at Butler that Denari has served the longest – serving for the past 17 seasons as the voice of Bulldogs’ men's basketball team. He has called all five of Butler’s recent NCAA tournament appearances, including its trip to the 2003 Sweet Sixteen.
Denari is a member of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400, the Indianapolis Colts Radio Network and is the television play-by-play voice of the Indiana High School Athletic Association's state championship games for baseball, boys' and girls' basketball and football.
Prior to assuming his duties with Indianapolis’ FOX affiliate, Denari was the Director of Sports Communications/Marketing with Methodist Sports Medicine, a position he held for five years. Prior to joining Methodist, Denari was an Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Events at Butler. Denari began his communications career as the Sports Information Director at the University of Indianapolis from 1985-88.
The Dayton, Ohio native graduated from Westfield (Ind.) High School in 1979 where he played basketball for his father Bob Denari. In 1983, Denari graduated from Wabash College with a B.S. in English. He was a member of Wabash’s 1982 NCAA Division III National Championship basketball team.
Denari and his wife, Terry, live in Carmel and have three sons Evan, Wilson and Max.
DEBBIE ANTONELLI | Television Analyst
Debbie Antonelli is in her fifth season with the Fever broadcast team after spending four seasons as a Charlotte Sting broadcaster. She joins Fever play-by-play announcer, Chris Denari, as the color analyst for each of the team's local television broadcasts. She also has covered WNBA games for three seasons on the Oxygen Network.
Antonelli's television resume includes: lead television analyst for the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big XII Conference, Southeastern Conference and CSTV’s coverage of women's basketball. She has also called numerous Division II National Championship Games and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association High School All-American Game on ESPN2. Before joining the broadcast team in Charlotte, Antonelli served as a FOX Sports Net national television analyst during the American Basketball League's first three seasons and was the analyst for the ABL’s Columbus Quest regional television package.
Antonelli has also worked first- and second-round games of the women’s NCAA tournament for ESPN and has worked as the radio analyst for the national syndication of the CBS/NCAA Radio Network for the past 10 Women's Final Fours. She also worked as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports during the 2000 Men's NCAA Tournament, and for the past six years, she has been a part of CBS Sports’ women’s basketball tripleheader coverage each January.
Prior to her broadcasting career, Antonelli spent four years as the Director of Marketing for the University of Kentucky, and four more in a similar capacity at Ohio State University. She spent five years as the television analyst for the Ohio State women's basketball team and prior to that, she spent three years as the TV analyst for the Dayton Flyers men's basketball team.
Antonelli was a three-year starter at guard for North Carolina State where she helped guide the Wolfpack to four NCAA tournament appearances and two Sweet 16 appearances. The Cary, N.C., native graduated with a double major in business management and economics. She went on to earn her master's degree in sports administration from Ohio University, where she also served as the graduate assistant women's basketball coach.
Antonelli, her husband, Frank and their three sons, Joey (11), Frankie (9) and Patrick (4) reside in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
KEVIN LEE | Radio Play-by-Play
Kevin Lee is in his seventh season covering the Fever and his 11th year as the host of the Pacers radio network, handling pregame, halftime and postgame shows.
In addition to his work with the Fever and the Pacers, Lee is also the host of Sportstalk on the Pacers’ flagship station, 1070 WIBC. He works as a pit reporter on the IndyCar Series for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network and does play-by-play for Ball State University and the IHSAA championship radio network – calling the Indiana High School football and basketball championships.
Lee, a graduate of Indianapolis’ Ben Davis High School and Ball State University, lives with his wife Stacey, and their children Jackson (3) and Savannah (1) in Indianapolis.
